Abstract: Reference mass spectra are widely used for compound identification by GC/MS, though rarely used for ‘small molecule’ LC-MS/MS and almost never used in proteomics. An overview of our work on MS/MS library construction and use over the past few years will be presented, including libraries for proteomics, reference materials, recurrent spectra and proteomics, and their use in a QA/QC pipeline.
