Abstract: We will overview the role LCMS/MS has played in improving both the diagnosis and treatment of patients with hypothyroidism and adrenal diseases. Currently immunoassays account for the misdiagnosis of close to 50% of the hypothyroid population (20 million in the USA) and 30% of adrenal disorders (25 million in the USA).
