From I-95 North and South: Take 32 west (Columbia) exit. Take 32 west to the Shaker Drive/Eden Brook exit.

Bear right onto Eden Brook Dr. Proceed to stop light and turn right onto Old Columbia Road; continue on for 1 mile (through the Rivers Industrial Park). Make a left on Riverwood Drive. The customer training and Education Center is the first building on the right.

From U.S. 29 north and south: Take 32 east (toward Ft. Meade) to Shaker Drive/Old Columbia Rd. exit (first exit you will come to). Exit route 32 onto Old Columbia Road. Proceed through stop light and continue on for 1 mile(through the Rivers Industrial Park). Make a left on Riverwood Drive. The customer training and Education Center is the first building on the right.

Post Doctoral Fellow Position available at SAIC, NCI-Frederick, Frederick, MD

Education required: Doctorate degree from an accredited college/university in a discipline related to biomedical research. Foreign educated candidates who have completed part or all of their education outside of the United States must have their foreign education evaluated by an SAIC-approved accrediting organization to assure that it has met the equivalency of the qualifications of degree work in the United States.  Prefer Doctorate degree in Proteomics and Molecular Biology/Chemistry/Cell Biology/Pharmacology.

Description/Basic Function: Research will focus on the application of proteomics to the elucidation of cancer drug mechanism of action within the Drug Mechanism Group (DMG) of the Developmental Therapeutics Program (DTP).  Primary responsibilities include design and execution of proteomic strategies (2D-PAGE, organellar isolation, SILAC, immunoprecipitation, affinity chromatography) to identify pathways and proteins modulated by treatment with novel cancer agents followed by validation of results using classical cellular and molecular validation techniques.

Required skills/Experience: None required beyond the educational requirement. Experience with classical cellular and molecular validation techniques. This position is subject to obtaining a Public Trust Clearance.

Desired skills: Experience in the operation and maintenance of LCQ/LTQ mass spectrometer preferred. Publications in proteomics, drug discovery or cancer biology preferred.
